Just A Lawyer Drawing Sports Icons showcases the highly-acclaimed illustrations of Jovi Neri, totaling 36 sports icons - including 9 Filipinos - featured in ready-to-frame, removable pages printed on specialty art paper designed to mimic the look and feel of the actual original art. The author takes the reader along his own art journey told through drawings, sketches and doodles that span four decades. He provides commentary on each illustration, revealing his creative process and artistic evolution. He recounts his personal encounters and interactions with some of the featured sports icons who have acknowledged his depictions of them. One of his featured athletes, bowling Hall-of-Famer Paeng Nepumoceno, writes the foreword. The book comes in four editions with identical interiors and only the featured sports icons on the cover being the differentiation so that one can choose a cover that contains his favorites.

Original Art
Each illustration offered here is the original art piece that was published in the book Just A Lawyer Drawing Sports Icons. While many copies of the book are circulating, there is only one piece of hand drawn original art for each image that appears in the book. While a vast majority of them are already in private collections, some are still available. They are all mixed media pieces using colored pencils, oil-based charcoals, and brush-tip markers in 11.7" x 16.5" size vellum board. They are all matted and framed in a glare-free glass to provide a very distinctive presentation. The size indicated beside each piece is the framed size.
Commissions
You can have the subject of your choice– yourself, your parent, your child, or your favorite sports icon – to be drawn in Jovi’s signature sports icon style. Each commission will be a one-of-a-kind original art piece drawn on 11.7” x 16.5” vellum board using the same materials, style, and intricacy as the drawings in the book. Slots are very limited given Jovi’s busy schedule and other interests.
